The applicant Family Solicitor/ CiLex Lawyer will need to have a good understanding of advising on Ancillary Relief/Divorce, Domestic abuse matters and Private Law Children Act matters; as well as Care Proceedings/Adoption/Special Guardianship applications
The Candidate
- Experienced Family Solicitor or CiLex Lawyer with at least 3 years PQE or equivalent
- Ability to work to deadlines/targets, to prioritise and manage a varied caseload
- Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Strong legal and leadership skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional and effective communication with team members and contacts
- Professional and effective communication with individual and business contacts
- Ability to handle clients in stressful and upsetting circumstances
- Ability to undertake Advocacy

Job purpose, responsibilities and objectives
To work within the overall objectives, policies and priorities as determined by the Partners and within the procedures of the firm as set out within the office manual. This includes, but is not limited to the below:
- Provide legal advice
- Draft legal documents, statements, pleadings and case files
- Organise case files
- Compile litigation bundles
- Assist in the preparation for court cases
- Attend meetings with clients and provide general advice on legal practice and procedure
- Assist and advise clients in meetings with children’s services
- Conduct client interviews and drafting court documents
- Drafting letters to professionals and other parties in a case
- Maintain contact with the client
- Conduct investigations and legal research
- Assist fee earners as and when required
- Use the training provided to become self-sufficient and build your own case load with minimal supervision
